WHERE I'M FROM
I was born and raised in Costa Rica, surrounded by mountains and ocean. Nature has always been a big part of my life — playing in rivers, hiking up mountains, taking in the beauty of its wildlife. Life has always shown me that play, conservation, and creativity need to go hand in hand. That same spirit carried into my family — big, colorful, and always in motion — and it's where I learned early on to notice the small stuff, the imperfect moments, the in-between ones. That energy still shows up in my work: warm, close, and a little messy, in a good way.
Where I landed
DONDE ATERRICÉ
I moved to the US in 2012 — to Angel Fire, New Mexico. Since then, I've had the pleasure of traveling to parts of the US I had no idea existed, a true pleasure to enjoy the not-so-touristy, less common places. In 2018 I landed in a place I'm in love with, a place I call home because of what it provides — it's a giant playground, a seasonally changing environment that keeps me on my toes. That constant shift between seasons is where a lot of my inspiration comes from — it keeps my eye sharp and my work always evolving.

I work fluently across InDesign, Illustrator and Photoshop, shoot my own photography, and illustrate original artwork — with a solid handle on print production and softgoods sourcing. Building our website from scratch pushed me into UX and Figma, and I've carried that same range from print into digital ever since.
Before Pivot, I ran my own design and photography practice in Costa Rica, rebranding companies and shooting for the national surf league — so I've always worked across disciplines, not just one lane. These days that shows up everywhere — from designing Pivot’s booth for Sea Otter to designing sales decks for teams across Europe and the US.
